A tutorial on how to build an earth-brick kitchen garden

This video was developed as a material guide on how to make earth brick kitchen gardens as an improved model of sustainable kitchen garden by Building Bridges with Rwanda (BBR) non-profit organization in our program of nutrition and wellness. This concept of kitchen garden was designed as a practical tool to fight malnutrition at the household level. In a country like Rwanda where residents are faced with the ever-increasing cost of food, the problem of food insecurity is a major barrier to the long-term development of the nation. Building a kitchen garden at household level allows families to access healthy nutritious vegetables all year round, from January to December, even in arid locations like Gashora in Bugesera. ©Cedric Habiyaremye/BBR, 2013
