Cedric Habiyaremye, a Rwandan PhD student studying crop science at the Washington State University. Fleeing the Rwandan genocide in 1994, Cedric, who will be featured on next month’s Hacking Hunger podcast, became a refugee at just eight-years-old. Over the next three years, he and his family lived in three refugee camps in Tanzania and received food from the UN World Food Programme (WFP), including corn flour, beans, and oil.
